Arts Impact Grant Program Now Open!
We are pleased to announce that the Arts Impact Grant program is now accepting applications.
“As we move beyond the pandemic, the Arts Impact Grant Program reflects the commitment of both the Province and the BC Arts Council to ensure arts funding reaches arts organizations and collectives to serve a greater diversity of artists at a time when they need it most,” said Lisa Beare, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport. “We know this funding will strengthen efforts to rebuild in B.C.’s arts community as we continue to work together towards a strong restart and greater equity in the arts sector.”
The Arts Impact Grant program is a responsive and flexible program that allows applicants to prioritize a specific project or group of related activities that will provide the most meaningful impact to their organization, practice, or community, and lead to significant outcomes during this time of recovery, renewal, and change.
“The Arts Impact Grant Program is bolstering pandemic recovery through timely and flexible funding,” said Bob D’Eith, Parliamentary Secretary for Arts and Film. “This program reflects the priority of the BC Arts Council to provide greater equity and inclusion in the distribution of arts funding to B.C.’s arts organizations and collectives that better reflect the diversity and specific needs of artists in the province.”
Applications will be assessed in one of the following categories:
- Foundational Impact – Learning, Expanding, and Stabilizing
- Community Impact – Connecting, Engaging, and Extending
- Artistic and Cultural Impact
- Imagining, Creating, and Producing
- Sharing, Showcasing, and Promoting (including Touring and Circulation initiatives)
