Indigenous Arts Program: Deadline Extended
The First Peoples’ Cultural Council has announced that the deadline for the Indigenous Arts Program (IAP) has been extended to September 30, 2019.
IAP provides funding in six different categories for Indigenous artists:
- Arts Administrator Internships and Mentorships
- Arts Micro-Grants
- Community Land-Based Arts
- Individual Artists
- Sharing Traditional Arts Across Generations
- Organizations and Collectives

Applications are accepted annually from Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit artists, organizations and collectives located in B.C., who have a demonstrated a commitment to their practice in any artistic discipline—visual, music, dance, theatre, literary or media. The IAP program supports both traditionally based and contemporary experimental approaches.
The BC Arts Council provides funding for the program, which is delivered by the First Peoples’ Cultural Council. Indigenous, Métis and Inuit artists, organizations and collectives located in B.C. are also eligible to apply to grant programs delivered directly by the BC Arts Council.
