New Basic Training for Organizations in Regional Areas in the Early Career Development Program
BC Arts Council is excited to announce a new component of the Early Career Development program: Basic Training– for Organizations in Regional Areas.
Early Career Development launched this year on June May 29. The intake will close on July 10, 2024.
Basic Training supports on-the-job training and experiential learning for emerging artists and arts practitioners by providing funding to arts organizations in regional communities. It is intended to support emerging and early career artists and arts practitioners who may not have access to training opportunities because of where they are located.
We developed this pilot in response to needs identified through sector-wide consultations, in conversations with artists and arts organizations in regional areas, and through a review of results from recent program intakes.
BC Arts Council strategic priorities include providing access to arts and culture to artists and organizations in regional areas.
